I'd recommend the Max because itis barely thicker than the original and still incredibly easy to conceal especially in the pocket while being easier to grip/shoot and much higher capacity.The LCP is a little hard at first but it shouldn't be anything like that difficult. I'd say have a gunsmith check it out or contact Ruger. I have an LCP and while it was stiff it was not even as hard to work the slide as my SR9 was.
